
On July 3-4, 2023, the Faculty of European Studies and Regional Development hosted the initial transnational project meeting for the Erasmus+ KA220 Cooperative partnerships project "Education, training and innovations in conversion to organic farming - ETICOF no. 2022-1-SK01-KA220-HED-000086079.
The meeting was attended by representatives from partner institutions, which are the University of South Bohemia in Ceske Budejovice (Czech Republic), Thüringer Ökoherz e.V. (Germany), Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (Hungary) and University of Applied Sciences Erfurt (Germany).
The Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra as the project coordinator was represented by staff of the Faculty of European Studies and Regional Development and the Faculty of Agrobiology and Food Resources.
The project, which will be implemented during a period of 36 months, aims to support the conversion of farmers from conventional agricultural production to organic production, mainly by supporting education in this area and creating innovative study and methodical materials.
At the meeting, individual work packages, distribution of tasks between partners, involvement of target groups in activities as well as other questions regarding project management and administration were discussed.
The two-day program of the meeting brought a rich discussion and exchange of experiences in the field of organic agriculture and started the first activities of the project, which will be crucial for its overall implementation and the fulfilment of the project goals.
